Branding and Website Development for an Event Management Platform

Scope Assessment & Challenges



Unplugged Entertainment, a powerhouse in Australia’s event industry, brought us a fascinating challenge. Their website wasn’t your average starting point—it was an ambitious platform built by the client, who’s not just a talented musician but also a former Wix designer. The site was built with the Classic Wix Editor and housed a sprawling network of pages, multiple datasets of Australian musicians, and advanced features that already worked hard for the agency. Our task was to take this intricate setup and transform it into a sleek, user-friendly, and future-proof digital experience with Wix Studio.

One of the trickiest parts was transferring critical elements from the old Wix site—including lots of lines of existing code—into the new Wix Studio website without disrupting functionality. This required careful coordination and technical expertise.

To ensure a seamless process, our developer stayed deeply involved throughout the project, troubleshooting potential issues and guiding the integration every step of the way.


Before diving into the work, we needed to get a clear picture of the scope. With hundreds of interconnected pages and layered functionalities, this was no small task. While we were able to outline a rough roadmap, the complexity of the project made it impossible to create a fully defined plan from the start. Instead, we adopted a flexible, step-by-step approach. This allowed us to adjust and refine the strategy as we progressed, ensuring that each stage aligned with the evolving needs of the platform.


Early in the process, we also brought the subject of branding to the client’s attention. We highlighted how elevating the visual identity could enhance the user experience and align with the innovative features of the platform.

After several discussions, we worked together to incorporate branding as a critical aspect of the project. With this groundwork in place, we were ready to bring the vision to life.

Brand strategy for an event agency

The full name, "Unplugged Entertainment," initially presented a challenge. To create a more impactful logo and cohesive visual identity, we focused on the essence of the business—music. For the logo, we simplified and shortened the name to "Unplugged," using only the first word for visual purposes

The branding strategy was deeply rooted in music, reflecting the pulse and emotion of live performance.


These musical elements were woven throughout the visual identity, influencing everything from typography to graphic details. The result is a brand that communicates the rhythm and soul of live music while maintaining a polished, contemporary aesthetic that resonates with both musicians and their audiences.














The Beauty of Black and White Design


This branding and website were crafted using only black, white, and a touch of grey—and the result is stunning. It’s proof that simplicity doesn’t mean sacrificing impact. The contrast between these two timeless colors creates a design that feels modern, vivid, and full of life. By focusing on just two tones, every detail stands out, every message is crystal clear, and the entire experience feels cohesive and striking. Sometimes, less truly is more.



Web Platform Development with Wix Studio


This project marked one of our first ventures into Wix Studio, and let’s just say—it was a big one! We built a massive, multilayered platform that serves both as a database of Australian artists specialising in private events and an event portal for organisers and clients to manage their events seamlessly. It's a hub for clients, artists, and company itself, where every event detail is managed within the website. Each user has its own level of access, and every artist has a personalised profile.



One of the biggest challenges was the sheer scale and complexity of the functionality. To accommodate the vast amount of content without overwhelming users, we created a custom menu. We also developed a sleek, intuitive filtering system, making it easy to navigate through artists and keep everything well-organised.



The website design truly brings the brand to life. We incorporated the beautiful typography, icons, and visual elements from the brand book, ensuring a cohesive experience across the platform.



The project was global in scope, and bringing this vision to life was no small feat. After months of hard work, we achieved a sophisticated yet effortlessly user-friendly website.



We also added some fun touches to the quote page—adding a creative, engaging detail that everyone loves. It’s all about making the experience feel personal and interactive.



Outcome and Recognition


Overall, the project showcased our ability to tackle complex, multifaceted challenges with a seamless user experience. 

It’s a project we’re immensely proud of, showcasing our ability to deliver complex solutions while keeping the user experience at the forefront.

Our work was recognised at Online Design Awards, where we won Silver in the Brand Identity Category and took home the top prize for Website Design. Additionally, the website was featured in Wix Studio's Inspiring Websites collection. We’re thrilled with this recognition and excited to see the ongoing impact of our work.
